We are looking for a CA(SA) for a mining company based the Sandton area.
**Requirements**:
CA(SA)
6+ years' relevant experience, preferably 2 years’ managerial experience
**Skills**:
- Microsoft programs
- IMS, EBMS, SAP, COUPA, MES
**Knowledge**:
- Demonstrate an understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS
**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
Manage the Financial consolidation structure and consolidate, analyse, interpret and report financial results
**BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY**
- Identify and assess level of issue based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
- Manage SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the Toolbox
- Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
**PEOPLE**
**Manage the Section**:
- Ensure an enabling climate/culture
- Manage labour stability by minimising labour turnover
- Labour complement in line with budget
- Achieve HDSA/Female targets for the Section
- Manage performance against set targets and competencies
- Ensure IDP’s are linked to performance results and implemented as per plan
- Conduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly)
- Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)
- Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels
- Conduct recruitment interviews
**CUSTOMERS**
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction
- Liaise and coordinate with Sites regarding the clarification and understanding of operational performance
**BUSINESS PROCESSES**
**Audits**:
- Support and consolidate divisional interim and year-end Statutory accounts
- Prepare interim and year-end accounting packs in SA Rand as well as US$ in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for submission to shareholders and stakeholders (SARS, Financial Institutions, etc.)
- Evaluate and make recommendations for Site Audit Packs
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate statutory external audits
**Management Accounting Reporting**:
- Analyse and review financial information and operational data, in compliance with accounting standards and taxation requirements
- Support and prepare consolidated the Company’s monthly Management Reports
- Support and consolidate the Chrome Sites monthly Management Accounts
- Compile consolidated accounts on BPC
- Compile consolidated Rand and US $ accounts
- Prepare financial information for the monthly Consolidated Management Accounts for the Group of companies
- Develop and maintain SOP's for consolidation
- Compile and interpret the Financial Variance analysis
**Taxation**:
- Review and consolidate monthly and annual BU tax calculations
- Review tax returns
- Resolve tax queries
**Forecasting and Budgeting**:
- Compile monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts in various systems for shareholders
- Compile consolidated annual budgets in various systems for shareholders
- Prepare monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts
- Interpret and report on the Financial Budget
**Financial Management**:
- Prepare budgets for a specific sector
- Complete Year End Procedures
- Manage service providers in a selected organisation
- Prepare financial statement analysis
- Draft financial statements
**Business**:
- Comply to legal requirements in business
- Behave in a professional manner in a business environment
**Corporate Governance**:
**Costing**:
- Contribute to the management of costs and the enhancement of value
**Reporting**:
- Prepare financial reports for different forms of entity
- Prepare and analyse financial reports for different types of business entities
- Present information in report format
- Generate information and reports for internal and external use
