Learning and Development Specialist - Pretoria - Gauteng (Hybrid)

Our client has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced
**Learning and Development Specialist** to join their team. The individual will be responsible for the complete end-to-end training function for the company, coordinating and facilitating training

requirements and content creation, organization the relevant training and monitoring training and reporting on training with the objective of ensuring effective continuous improvement and

knowledge sharing.

**Requirements**:

- More than 8 years’ experience in a training coordination/learning and development role
- Sound understanding of IT technology concepts.
- Previous work experience in a software development environment would be ideal.
- Experience with compiling syllabi
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of the insurance/pensions/health industry.
- Project management experience within an IT environment
- Training qualification
- Teaching experience also advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide a detailed plan for the yearly training calendar.
- Coordinate training needs across the Group
- Analyze training needs of internal and external users of our system to develop new
- training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Organize, develop, or obtain training procedure manuals and guides and course
- materials.
- Knowledge and understanding of client's business processes.
- Analyze content to determine suitability of learning approach, quality, strategy, and
- solution.
- Design and provide specific training programs to maintain or improve user’s
- understanding of group’s systems.
- Define, collect, and manage the knowledge base repository that includes but is not
- limited to toolkits, standards, policies, processes, and procedures to support users with
- relevant information to be used.
- Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
- Regularly and proactively update training content/materials in line with the new
- technologies and products being used internally and with our customers.
- Finds effective ways of integrating new technologies and platforms to enhance user's
- training and learning of our system and products.
- Resolve client queries that arise within the LMS space.
- Involved in the creation and management on onboarding training materials for internal
- use and for clients.
