We are on the hunt for Technical/Product Specialist to join Payfast’ Sales Team.

**About the team**

Our team is passionate about managing business operations, whilst still supporting the company with moving forward in the Fintech industry and delivering world-class payments solutions. We are small, but strategic and get to work with various areas of the Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an energetic sales team, with a passion for technical and product engagements within the Fintech and payment card industry, as part of a wider team of teams across verticals and the broader group.

**What you'll be doing**
- Support the execution of the strategic and portfolio level objectives, whilst providing visibility to stakeholders on said delivery.- Working and aligning product, leadership, and the wider company to ensure that we are executing our strategy.
- Own product launch readiness and GTM to ensure that user-facing teams are ready with the information and processes required to support new products.
- Improve our decision-making by ensuring that insights coming from all stakeholders, and merchants are integrated with our product and business strategy.- Supporting the customers success, account management, operations and support capabilities in maintaining and building a robust merchant base, while feeding the inputs/feedback into the operations and product teams.
- Collect and provide the right data to make decisions in collaboration with our data team and pertinent business units.
- Leading and empowering our operations and delivery teams, and working cross-functionally with the broader company.
- Work effectively with partners to bring products to market.
- Ensuring that operational and product enablement is executed effectively,
- Communicating new product roll-out issues and beta issues/feedback to product and related teams and resolving mutually.
- whilst considering critical affected touch-points / divisions and capabilities within business.
- Continuously improve our operations, product discovery & delivery processes & tooling:

- Define, improve and standardize efficient and scalable processes & tooling in support of operational and product excellence.
- Help to use the right data with the right people to take informed decisions from opportunity framing to customer rollout and adoption.
- Develop tools, resources and processes to collect and aggregate larger volumes of organisational & merchant feedback and data coming from different sources.
- Be aware and communicate market insights in terms of product best practices and methodologies to the broader product and business units.
- Monitor impact of processes and tools on teams’ velocity and product quality
- Support internal product communication and product education:
- Make sure that product knowledge is shared between all teams.
- Build strategic relationships and manage communication and alignment across multiple partner teams.
- Guarantee strong and healthy collaboration among Operations, Product and Tech teams, and other pertinent stakeholders.
- Collect, quantify & prioritize product-related challenges to be considered by product and engineering in future development. Uplevel the understanding of how the product is being used in the real world.
- Work with a cross-functional team across product, design, engineering, operations, finance, commercial, support & marketing in formulating go-to-market plans, delivering world class checkout products, features and integrations.
- Identify and reduce dependencies, remove blockers and co-ordinate with other teams and stakeholders.
- Assist key accounts with key merchant integrations and queries, working alongside with integrations and other business units.

**What you'll need**
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in either Commerce / Information Technology would be advantageous.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in banking, financial services or payment facilitation services. Exposure to operations, payments, card operations, merchant acquiring operations with reasonable experience in process management, MIS and data analysis.
