**Job Description

**Purpose of the role**:
The purpose of this senior role is to provide strategic communication and employee engagement support and advice to the Engagement Principals for both the Information Management (IM) and Supply Chain (SC) functions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Advise Principal Engagement Partners who lead the communications for Anglo American’s Information Management and Supply Chain function on delivering communications excellence in support of their function’s business objectives.
- Support delivery of the Functions’ communication and engagement activity, in line with the Corporate Relations strategy, follow Group standards and agreed best practice approaches and tools.
- Create, refine and / or commission engaging content as per strategic plans / narrative.
- Advise on functional channels (managing channels where required), optimising the use of Group communication channels.
- Organise and run regular townhall meetings for their functions.
- Assess and measure the effectiveness of their activity.
- Facilitate the implementation of the broader functional activities, though the roll-out of global communications campaigns in Information Management / Supply Chain.

**Experience**:

- 8 - 10 years’ relevant experience

**Technical Skills**:

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, including:

- ‘C-suite’ / Executive level communications
- Writing and visualising powerful stories to inspire and motivate in engaging and crisp concise ways.
- Stakeholder management and cultural awareness:

- Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels and in different geographies.
- Manage multiple stakeholders.
- Project management:

- End-to-end delivery including monitoring, and measurement.
- Managing multiple priorities
- Channel management: Identifying, developing, and managing internal communications channels.
- Creative ideation, from concept to delivery
- Internal brand ambassador: championing our brand internally and being conscious of how our actions drive towards our common brand promise.
- Collaborative and agile: driving agile and decisive behaviour and able to work well across Anglo American, effectively, and collaboratively

**Qualifications**:

- Degree educated and significant experience in a relevant area such as communications, change management, PR, journalism
