**Job Title: Senior Buyer**

**Mission of Function**: Responsible for all Procurement activities

**Areas of Responsibility/Tasks**:

- Purchasing
- Procurement market research
- Supplier Management
- Vendor Interaction and Analysis

**Skills**:

- Strong ERP system experience - preferably SAP
- Procurement and or supply chain management qualification
- Strong negotiation skills and tactics
- Thorough experience and track record in procurement (e. g. management of buying department, poject management, global networking, supplier evaluation and implementation etc.)
- Strong individual, self driven
- Team player
- Finance / Controlling skills (Finance for non-financial course)
- Willing to travel
- Ability to think, act and network in a global matrix organization
- Six Sigma background (e. g. Green belt training) would be a Plus
- Must have successfully worked as a Senior Buyer before

**Experience and Qualification**

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum**:

- Relevant Tertiary qualification e.g Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain and Operations Management
- Post graduate qualification and Industry certification such CIPS will be added advantage
- Advanced training in procurement methods

**Professional Experience**:

- 5+ yrs procurement experience
- Experience with international procurement

**Project Experience**:

- Experience in procurement cost reduction project definition and leadership

**Intercultural Experience**:

- Exposure to all South African cultures
- General Global exposure
