Job Title: Senior Buyer

Purpose of Role: To effectively manage the procurement of goods and services in line with the company's overall strategy which is to drive down costs and increase customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

1. Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.
2. Perform cost analyses and set benchmarks for cost.
3. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
4. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
5. Create and manage matrices to measure supplier performance (OTD, Backlog).
6. Attendance and management of Slotting Room Procurement requirements.
7. Executing and driving down MRP exception messages.

People Management:

1. Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing guidance and support.
2. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
3. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
4. Develop training programs to enhance the skills of the procurement team.
5. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
6. Ownership of supplier order book, end to end order book management.
7. Continuous improvement actions to ensure supplier on-time delivery improvement.
8. Manage supplier bin levels and lead times on a quarterly basis.
9. Supplier COUPA management of delivery dates and invoices.
10. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
11. Identify potential suppliers and build and maintain good relationships with them.
12. Local Supplier Audit and visits as and when required.

Compliance and Reporting:

1. Prepare weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly reporting as required.
2. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

1. Procurement or related Diploma.
2. BCom/Supply Chain Degree would be advantageous.
3. CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
4. Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in Procurement.
