The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing Sanlam's solutions to a vested portfolio of advisors, devising strategies and campaigns to grow the advisors' business thereby assisting in meeting the required sales targets.

  1. Rendering ongoing technical advice and support
  2. Partnering with Financial Advisors to reach production targets
  3. Sourcing for business opportunities in advisor's practice
  4. Managing and supporting leads and campaigns
  5. Assisting and liaising with new business and underwriting to facilitate the issuing of business
  6. Assisting with the processing of claims, replacements and quotations
  7. Assisting with comparative competitor quotes

With regards to Compliance ensure that:

  1. The different tools are understood and utilized by the Financial Advisors
  2. The Financial Advisor is aware of the importance of compliance and implications for the practices for noncompliance.

Monitor and flag any suspect or risky business with the Business Manager.

Support projects and focus activities of the Business Manager that seek to drive production.

Networking with other stakeholders in the sales/support process.

Qualification & experience

  1. RFP 1, 2 or 3 or alternatively Wealth Management 1, 2 or 3
  2. An industry related qualification would be advantageous
  3. Regulatory Exam would be advantageous
  4. Minimum 2 years' experience in Marketing and Financial Services sales environment
  5. Thorough understanding of agency distribution model and supporting processing requirements would be advantageous

  1. MS: Office (Excel, Word, PP); Outlook; SanFin; AUTONUB
  2. Valid driver's licence
  3. Business Management
  4. Financial Services Industry Knowledge
  5. Financial Services Product Knowledge (Sanlam and competitors)
  6. Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge
  7. Basic legal technical knowledge
