The Carrier Wholesale Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth in the African telecom market, particularly in South Africa and Nigeria. This role focuses on targeting and solution selling to telecom providers and strategic businesses in need of IPT and international Layer 2 infrastructure. The manager expands the client base by selling to new ISPs and large enterprises, and also works closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing and explore innovative revenue-sharing models. Proficiency in various telecom services, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to add margins while maintaining competitive pricing are essential for success in this role. Requirements: 10 plus years of experience with data services in telecommunications environment Proven experience in the telecommunications industry, with a strong focus on solution selling. Technical skills related to network and transmission design and local access services Product knowledge of Dark Fibre, E-Access, E-NNI, IP, Wavelength and Spectrum services as well as end-user and carrier applications Well versed in undersea capacity technically to help broaden offerings Understanding National Long Distance Fibre services, peering, point of presence, colocation and Data center Interconnections. Understanding of Express route connections to AWS, Azure is a plus Established network and connections within the South African and Nigerian telecom markets. Results-oriented, with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Willingness to travel within Africa as needed. Responsibilities Target and Solution Selling: Identify and target telecom providers and strategic businesses in various African markets, with a special focus on South Africa and Nigeria. Develop tailored solutions that address the specific needs of potential clients in these markets. Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase our comprehensive services. Account Expansion: Expand our existing client base by nurturing relationships with current clients. Proactively pursue opportunities to sell to new Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and large enterprise clients. Leverage your network to grow our market presence. Collaborate closely with our suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms at multiple locations across Africa. Seek out innovative revenue-sharing models and contractual structures that benefit our business. Ensure that supplier agreements are mutually beneficial and cost-effective. Product Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of Dark Fiber, E-Access, E-NNO, IP, Wavelength, and Spectrum services. Awareness of on-demand network automation solutions for interconnects across data centers and express connections to AWS and Azure clouds Stay informed about the latest developments in end-user and carrier applications within the telecommunications industry. Pricing and Margin Optimization: Negotiate favourable pricing with suppliers and optimize the terms of agreements. Develop strategies to add margins to our services while maintaining a competitive market price. Ensure our pricing strategy aligns with revenue targets and market dynamics #J-18808-Ljbffr
