This role demands a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and an enthusiasm for the finance industry, particularly in SMME lending. Key Attributes of a Successful Deal Maker: - Previous experience as a private banker. - Well-networked within the finance and business community. Key Performance Areas: - Screening and assessing potential new deals. - Analyzing and interpreting financial statements and reports to identify risks and opportunities. - Building and expanding a strong referral network for deal origination. - Participating in due diligence activities for potential loan deals. - Collaborating with internal teams, such as credit, underwriting, and loan closing, to ensure timely and accurate processing. - Following up on due diligence documentation and consolidating information efficiently. - Compiling comprehensive credit committee summaries and proposals. - Conducting onsite client visits across the country to assess the viability of potential deals. - Building and nurturing relationships with current customers, managing restructures, facility increases, renewals, and more. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in private banking or loan origination. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational prowess. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Willingness and ability to travel for onsite client visits as required.
