**purpose**:
- To generate and sustain new revenue streams across the banking product suite. Originate and grow market share across the business as well as creating a network to originate new business.**experience and qualifications**:
- Minimum : BComm in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics.
- Preferred : BComm Honours in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics.
- 5 + years related experience.
- Proven track record of success as a deal maker / new business / acquisition background.
- Person must not be an unrehabilitated insolvent.**additional requirements**:
- Well networked at senior levels (CEO/CFO) in the market
- Excellent Credit skills
- Excellent with clients, senior enough to be listened to as a “trusted advisor”, flair, creative thinker / structurer
- Able to articulate complex, persuasive money management/ return on debt vs equity (balance sheet management) / WCC conversations
- Good track record with / respected by Credit
- Good rapport/relationships with Acquisitions team and Front Line
- Strategic mindset, but execution excellence
- Comfortable with research on small number of agreed key target clients (as obtained from databases, networks, other)
**responsibilities**:
- Responsible for a target of R10m in new incremental revenue from acquired clients (actual revenue).
- Identifying new revenue opportunities and client wish lists.
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions.
- Ensure that specific needs of stakeholders are addressed effectively and timeously, within area of specialisation.
- Tender solicited and unsolicited new business in the medium corporate space by managing relationships with current clients.
- Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provide proactive advice and solutions to stakeholders.
- Manage existing clients and grow portfolio through making contact and generating leads and sustain new revenue streams across the banking product suite.
- Maximise Business Portfolio cross sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships including pricing.
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
- Obtaining credit approval for term loans, overdrafts, property and leveraged deals through the credit department.
