Position Overview We're looking for a Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic team in Camps Bay. The Opportunity As the Senior IT Technician, you will share responsibility for the operational excellence of our technology infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Maintain all technology systems including servers, networks, security, and software applications. Lead IT support for property management systems (Oracle Opera Cloud, Simphony POS, MyInventory and ESP Nano). Lead IT support for daily operational systems (VOIP, CCTV, Access Control, WIFI, Mimecast). Ensure system uptime, data security, and business continuity through robust preventive maintenance and backup procedures. Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and provide tools for excellent guest experiences. Oversee vendor relationships and manage service‑level agreements (SLAs). Share technical knowledge to empower those with limited know‑how. Maintain inventory of hardware and software licenses and ensure compliance with audit standards. Support and monitor key infrastructure (Microsoft, Azure AD, Sophos Firewall, Dell servers, virtualized environments, and networking equipment). Actively monitor cybersecurity threats and ensure staff awareness and protection measures. Be available for urgent support calls and remote assistance as needed. Minimum Requirements Education: Matric plus a Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT support. Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server environments, virtualization, and cloud services. Experience with Microsoft Server, Microsoft Operating Systems, MacOS, Active Directory, Microsoft and Entra ID. Proficiency in backup & recovery systems, firewall monitoring, and endpoint security. Drivers license and own vehicle. Ideally resides within a radius of 30km from Camps Bay. Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Clear, confident communicator.
