The accountant is responsible for the financial function including the preparation of monthly reports, reconciliations and accruals, the posting of month-end journals, budgeting, and forecasting. The accountant is also responsible for providing a costing analysis of the various processes within the relevant divisions.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • CA(SA) qualification Experience
  • 3 Years’ experience within the FMCG industry
  • 5 Years’ experience in management accounting
  • Financial Reporting experience
  • Costing experience
  • Ability to understand and implement complex finance solutions
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple issues simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence outcomes at all levels and across disciplines
  • Great time management skills
  • Ability to work independently

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountant to managers
  • Preparation of monthly reports, i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Cost to Serve, and other management reports
  • Process month-end journals
  • Financial Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Statutory Returns and Legislative Compliance - Stats SA
  • Assist in ensuring effective internal controls
  • Monthly cash flow update
  • Maintaining audit files 
  • Ad Hoc projects 
  • Unqualified external audit reports
