Grants Manager, Western Cape

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Degree in finance and / or related field of study
  • 5+ years grant management / accounting experience including the preparation of audit committee reports, management accounts and income & expenditure statements
  • 5 years experience in management of staff
  • Experience working on SAP Business 1 or similar
  • Knowledge of MS Office as well as grants policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and implementation of SARS rules on VAT of income
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Ensuring SOPs and policies are in place and develop a dashboard for grant visibility
  • Oversee debtors and ensure invoicing takes place
  • Quarterly reporting to risk committee and oversee issuing of grant related information
  • Oversee grants management process flow
  • Develop/maintain expertise in grant proposal and funder requirements
  • Ensure financial requirements are met
  • Develop/maintain a database for active grants
  • Ensure funder specific compliance requirements are met
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of grant contract terms and conditions
  • Ensure cohesion between various departments
  • Sign off on all funder financial reports and present to CFO
  • Manage organizational revenue
  • Keep accurate and up to date database of changes to status of projects
