Head of Operations: Gauteng (Prescribed Officer) – November 25 Location: Gauteng, South Africa Minimum Requirements Air traffic control qualification (aerodrome control, approach control, or area control) Postgraduate qualification in Business Management or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in conceptualising, designing, implementing, and managing air traffic management operations or functions, or managing air navigation services regulatory function, of which at least 5 years must be at management level within a complex air traffic services/air traffic management environment or air navigation service regulatory function. Alternative Qualification and Experience Air traffic control qualification (aerodrome control, approach control, or area control) National Diploma or Degree in Business Management or related field, or a successfully completed Leadership/Management Development Program certificate that is NQF aligned, from an accredited institution of higher learning. Minimum 10 years of experience in conceptualising, designing, implementing, and managing air traffic management operations or functions, or managing air navigation services regulatory function, of which at least 7 years must be at management level within a complex air traffic services/air traffic management environment or air navigation service regulatory function. Note: A candidate appointed with alternative required qualifications and experience must be prepared to undergo compulsory development (sponsored by ATNS) to achieve the required postgraduate qualification within three years.
