Reporting & Insights Officer Head Office in Cape Town - Northern Suburbs Exciting Opportunity to Join our Dynamic Company and work within SA’s No. 1 Fast Food brandREQUIRED SKILLSBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science2+ years’ Data mining experience2+ years in a reporting/analyst role or related fieldExperience in FMCGExperience with GAAP / POS / Firecell / SQL / Power BIAdvanced Excel skillsAbility to collaborate effectively and work as part of a teamStrong attention to detailAbility to work with stakeholders to assess potential risksAbility to analise existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendationsAbility to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay termsHigh-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databasesDemonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databasesUnderstanding of addressing and metadata standardsHigh-level written and verbal communication skills RESPONSIBILITIESWeekly & monthly reporting to Franchisor, Finance and Operations DepartmentsUse statistical methods to analise data and generate useful business reportsWork with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segmentIdentify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processesUse data to create models that depict trends in the consumer population as a wholeWork with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis projectProvide quality assurance of imported dataCommissioning and decommissioning of data setsProcessing confidential data and information according to guidelinesHelping develop reports and analysis.Maintain Power BI reports by sourcing data sets from POS, using SQLManaging and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadataSupporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirementsSupporting initiatives for data integrity and normalizationGenerating reports from single or multiple systemsTroubleshooting the reporting database environment and reportsEvaluating changes and updates to source production systemsTraining end users on new reports and dashboardsProviding technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansingAd hoc reporting
