A well-established 4-star hotel group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to focus on leisure stays for its Cape Town properties. This role is dedicated to driving revenue growth, building relationships within the travel and tourism sector, and positioning the hotel as a preferred choice for leisure travellers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to increase leisure bookings and market share.
  • Identify and establish strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, online travel agents (OTAs), and other key leisure partners.
  • Drive direct bookings through targeted marketing efforts and promotions.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and site inspections to promote the hotel’s leisure offerings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling campaigns that attract leisure travellers.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Represent the hotel at travel trade shows, networking events, and industry exhibitions.
  • Work closely with reservations and front office teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Track sales performance, prepare reports, and present insights to senior management.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry, with a focus on luxury leisure travel.
  • Strong network and existing relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and OTAs.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in the leisure segment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital and traditional sales channels for leisure travel.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and growing the leisure travel market.
