Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus.
  • Accounting or Finance: At least 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Financial Software: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Budgeting and Reporting: Knowledge of budgeting processes, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Audit Experience: Familiarity with audit processes and preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and internal controls.

Scope and Range

  • Sites and Facilities: Responsible for financial management across all company locations or departments, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Financial Processes: Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and financial reconciliation
  • Financial Software and Systems: Managing and utilizing financial systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) to record and track financial data.
  • Outputs: Ensuring timely and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and expense tracking.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies across all financial activities.
  • Internal Stakeholders: Collaborating with department heads, management, and other teams to provide financial insights, assist in budgeting, and support decision-making.
  • External Relationships: Communicating with external auditors,
    vendors, and clients regarding financial matters and assisting with audit preparation.
    Financial Analysis: Supporting financial forecasting, variance analysis, and identifying opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Data Entry: Input and update financial transactions into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and internal accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Preparing Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, profit & loss statements).
  • Budget Monitoring: Track and monitor departmental and organizational budgets, identifying discrepancies or overspending.
  • Invoice Management: Process incoming invoices, ensure accurate billing, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses, ensuring they align with the budget and company policies.
  • Compliance Checks: Ensure financial activities comply with internal policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: Collaborate with various departments to clarify financial data and assist in decision-making.
  • Financial Forecasting: Assist in forecasting future financial trends based on historical data and business needs.
  • Cash Flow Management: Track and manage cash flow, ensuring there is sufficient liquidity to meet financial obligations.
