Temporary Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
- Review and report variances from the budget.
- Ensure the trial balance is accurate and complete.
- Review Finance Officer’s work to ensure all transactions are booked timely and balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Review monthly journals and reconciliations.
- Manage bank reconciliations, investment accounts, and cash flow.
- Sign off on supplier reconciliations and payments.
- Prepare and submit reports for stakeholders (Dtic, FSB, and National Treasury).
- Prepare payment requisitions and manage uploads to the banking system.
- Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree with articles completed.
- CA(SA), CIMA, or SAIPA qualification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience (including 3 years of articles and 2 years post-articles in a financial institution).
