A Network Engineer is a seasoned tech professional tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining NTT's network infrastructure to ensure seamless and secure communication. This role entails collaborating with diverse teams to address networking requirements and plays a crucial part in guaranteeing network reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and strategizing network solutions encompassing LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks
  • Creating network architectures that align with current and future organizational needs
  • Configuring and managing network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers
  • Implementing and upholding network services and protocols
  • Enhancing network security through measures like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs
  • Monitoring network traffic for security loopholes and threats
  • Resolving intricate network issues using advanced troubleshooting methods and monitoring tools
  • Analyzing network performance data to address bottlenecks and anomalies
  • Optimizing network performance by studying traffic patterns, adjusting configurations, and employing quality of service (QoS) tactics
  • Developing and maintaining extensive network documentation
  • Collaborating with varied teams including systems administrators and application developers
  • Conveying technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participating in network-related projects like upgrades and migrations
  • Evaluating and recommending new networking technologies and solutions
  • Liaising with vendors for network equipment procurements
  • Proactively monitoring network health and responding to incidents using analysis tools
  • Planning network capacity requirements for scalability


Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:

  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and protocols
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills for network issues
  • Project management proficiency for network projects
  • Knowledge of network security principles


Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Cloud provider Network Administration certification (Azure, Google, Amazon)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and Cisco CCNA are advantageous
  • Certifications like Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or Juniper JNCIA are preferred


Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in network engineering or related roles
  • Strong background in network security and LAN/WAN environments
  • Proficiency with wireless equipment, protocols, and cloud networking
