Job Description

PURPOSE STATEMENT

  • All courier related functions regarding the dispatch of orders
  • Ensuring all shipments are packed correctly and dispatched to the correct destination.
  • Prioritizing of deliveries.
  • Attending to customer and courier related inquiries (via email and telephone).

ORGANISATION CHART

Reports to the Warehouse and Dispatch Manager

Peers: Warehouse Supervisor, Printing & Production Supervisor.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Issuing of waybills.
  • Liaison with couriers.
  • Prioritizing of deliveries.
  • Attending to all customer and courier related inquiries via email and phone.
  • Receiving and checking all incoming shipments/packaging.
  • Booking collections and deliveries.
  • Navigating the courier service online system.
  • Organizing and maintenance of paperwork.
  • Collection approvals within the approved budget.
  • EID tags scanning for SAGE movement.
  • Record all scanned items on the recording sheet.
  • Following and adhere to the departments SOP`s.

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • Ensures waybills are correct and corresponds with the correct shipment to be correctly delivered to the client.
  • Ensures all inquiries are resolved via phone and Cellphone.
  • Ensures Motoring products are correctly packed, shipped and scanned on the SAP system.
  • Responsible for all outbound deliveries (local and international).
  • Liaises with all the companies courier partners/agents, including DHL and Turner Shipping.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Grade 12.
  • High work standards.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Liaise with couriers
  • Organizing and maintenance of paperwork.
  • SAP experience.
  • Issuing of waybills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent telephone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to multi-task.
