Senior Industry Sales Manager - Specialised Silicone Elastomers

  • A well known international chemical manufacturing company requires the above me manage and drive the silicone elastomer raw material industry into the industrial and related manufacturing markets.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A Tertiary qualification in any sciences or engineering or related fields is essential for the role.
  • Previous key account and business development experience having worked within the silicone elastomer / rubber or polymer and related industries is preferred for the role.
  • An understanding of silicones would be preferred.
  • Previous experience having sold speciality chemicals into the manufacturing industry, selling on value add and strategic selling is essential for the role
  • Person must be strong commercially.
  • Previous experience having worked on sap or a related CRM System is essential.
  • Previous strategic market development sales experience is preferred.
  • Maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives for elected product portfolios.
  • Managing key accounts and principals within the silicone elastomer markets.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Driving strategies and presenting sales forecasts for annual budgets.
  • Oversee and manage stock management, debtor and working capital management.
  • Maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives for selected product portfolio's.
  • Constructing a business plan which will include strategies and sales forecasts for annual budgets.
  • Cultivating and maintaining effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Pursuing identified business prospects and participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to define overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.
  • Ensuring product quality and performance standards meet customer needs through continuous evaluation of product performance.
