Director of Engineering. The position will be based in Cape Town for a minimum of 12 months, and will then be based in USA. Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in managing designers and reporting managers.

Qualifications and experience :

  • BEng-degree (mechanical or electronic or electrical or mechatronic)
  • Master's degree will be beneficial.
  • Minimum 15 years of engineering working experience
  • Automotive industry
  • Minimum 5 years proven track record of leading and mentoring a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the direction and daily activities of the Engineering team.
  • Oversee process improvements to the product development process.
  • Lead the development of reporting managers.
  • Oversee the development of the department.
  • Interact will all levels of company management.
  • Work closely with key suppliers and customers.
The candidate will work from South Africa with the possibility to emigrate to the USA after 1 year.
