We are seeking a skilled and dynamic professional to join our team as the Deputy Director of Operations in the dynamic and fast-paced field of manufacturing.

As the Deputy Director of Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operational efficiency, ensuring quality production, and contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and implement production plans.
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing daily manufacturing activities to meet production goals.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of rigorous quality control processes.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high standards for production.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and efficient procurement of raw materials.
  • Assist in managing relationships with suppliers to maintain a reliable supply chain.
  • Provide support in leading and motivating the operations team.
  • Assist in developing training programs to enhance team skills and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including design, marketing, and sales, to align operational strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams to address production challenges and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Assist in managing garment inventory, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing excess inventory.
  • Implement systems for tracking inventory turnover and managing stockouts.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to create a secure working environment for all personnel

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of garment production processes, quality control, and supply chain coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in optimizing production processes and achieving cost savings.
  • Familiarity with industryspecific technologies and ERP systems used inr manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within the relevant industry.

Salary:
R35, R40,000.00 per month
