Executive director:
water and sanitation

Salary:
annual package commencing from R2,148,405 per annum

Purpose/Strategic intent:

Achieving excellence in local government water and sanitation service delivery, infrastructure investment and operations

Lead and direct the Water and Sanitation function to ensure the provision of a cost effective, customer centric, socially responsible and environmentally sound Water and Sanitation function.


Requirements:

A postgraduate qualification applicable and relevant to the functional focus of the position, preferably with a degree in the Engineering discipline
At least 5 years experience at a senior managerial level within a large and diverse environment
Demonstrated exceptional transformational leadership ability with capacity for innovation, and an influential and collaborative approach
Advanced knowledge of relevant policy and legislation
Institutional Government systems, Audit and Risk management and Performance management
Budgetary and financial management
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
