You will be working as Service Sales Specialist and will be the part of Motion business area for Service division based in Longmeadow, South Africa.

In this role you will be reporting to Uchenna Obika and will be responsible for generating service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated area, focusing on installed base penetration (IB), selling the entire service product portfolio for drives and motors in collaboration with other ABB units, building long term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues

Your responsibilities

:

  • Promoting various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB, understanding the channel strategy, establishing of related prices, preparing sales plans, reviewing and proposing recovery plan, updating installed base in ServIS (the approved Service database)
  • Utilizing ServIS/DIB/LCA tools to penetrate the existing installed base (IB), identifying and developing sales opportunities for service portfolio and solutions to penetrate the existing IBs in the market, generating service sales leads and developing new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information
  • Identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios, collaborating approach to leverage opportunities from total portfolio offering, establishing long term customer relationships by active listening, understanding customer requirements and value selling approach and demonstrating indepth technical service portfolio/solutions knowledge to promote life cycle management
  • Registering customer feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process, selling entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area, charts out and monitoring sales proposals, tenders and following up on sales pipeline
  • Preparing ABB's Service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local service sales manager and/or local division manager, communicating contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and managing administrative sales processes
  • Acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB's service portfolio and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings), translating the needs of customer into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions
  • Contributing to risk assessments related to price and quality, registering required information into the appropriate customer database, ensuring technical reliability, safety and costeffective solutions to satisfy customer's needs and complying with health and safety directives

Your background

:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or marketing qualification
  • Minimum 45 years of industry experience in service sales and or solution/value selling and experience as team leader or projects manager
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory
