This role is specifically responsible for developing digital marketing strategies for VFS. A deep experience of performance marketing, strategic planning and buying is an absolute must.

This role will sit within Vodacom Financial services, which has been identified as an acceleration unit within the greater Vodacom group.

The ambition is to expand its product offering, and diversify its clientele.

Your responsibilities will include:

Digital campaign strategy and implementation across Vodacom Financial Services
Media strategy, implementation and performance across all media channels including radio, TV, outdoor, sponsorships, premium display, mobile display, programmatic, advertising networks, search, influencer marketing and paid social
Ability to conceptualise and enhance customer experience across the entire customer journey, with strong focus on channel attribution.
Drive breakthrough marketing innovation

Technical / professional qualifications:

3 year Business related Degree or National Diploma

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Strategy development.
Supporting assigned product teams in translating their brand strategy into a digital marketing plan and execution
Experience with Social Media Data Analytics
Providing digital research, analysis and insight generation for all business activities
Proposal planning and management of multichannel and digital media campaign engagement initiatives
Leading and managing digital strategy projects from start to execution, providing iterative offering enhancements
Developing strategic and tactical offerings for digital strategy and planning
Developing offerings for collecting insights from patients and treatment stakeholders
Supporting high level of internal knowledge and awareness of digital strategies through continuous innovation initiatives

Market research and analysis:

must be skilled in conducting market research and analysing data to identify trends and opportunities in their target market.

Customer insights:


must have a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and behaviours in their target segment, and be able to translate those insights into actionable marketing strategies.


Strategic thinking:


must be able to develop a long-term vision for their segment, and develop strategies that align with broader organizational goals.


Product development:


must be able to work closely with product development teams to identify and develop new products and services that meet the needs of their target segment.


Marketing and communication:


must be skilled in developing targeted marketing and communication strategies that resonate with their target segment, and be able to effectively communicate the value proposition of their products and services.


Cross-functional collaboration:


must be able to work effectively with a range of cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and brand, to develop and execute on strategies.


Project management:

must be able to manage complex projects and initiatives, including budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.

Leadership and team management:

must be able to lead and motivate teams, inspire creativity and innovation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
