Role purpose:


The role is to support the 8 Vodacom market OPCO's to deliver against goals and surface new insights, approaches, and way of work.

The Support Manager must understand the responsibilities, needs and priorities of the Markets to ensure focus on the most strategically critical demands/deliverables in the Vodacom Group.

Responsibilities also includes business liaison, analytics, decision support, meeting support, reporting, governance and managing cross functional projects.

The incumbent will be a creative influencer that is delivery focused, strong analytical ability, and possess a good understanding of the Digital & CX playing field.

Excellent time management, analytic visualization and problem-solving skills is required.

Your responsibilities will include:

Analyze business information and make recommendations to support decision making of both Group and Market stakeholders.
Develop, automate and maintain reporting for the markets across the business dimensions to surface insights.
Strategically manage key priorities to ensure the markets achieve their high impact goals.
Provide insights on both leading and lagging indicators to help the markets operate and deliver more effectively.

Perform special projects as determined by the priority backlog which includes governance, tracking against goals, research, summarization or analysis of information.

Working with the markets to strategize and manage a portfolio of relationships, relevant to the context and maturity of the market.

Ensure regular and timely flow of information to Vodacom Group and market EXCO stakeholders.
Analyze business processes and recommend & facilitate improvements where required. Continually drive efficiencies and improvements.

Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the 8 Markets at all levels - good understanding of the Digital and CX environment.

Critically assess business challenges across Vodacom Group and facilitate cross functional solutions.
Monitor progress against assigned strategic initiatives and deliverables, and take action where appropriate.
Consolidate and Report on any deviations that could derail the achievements against targets
Ensure on-time delivery of quality information, feedback and reports for Exco meetings, Ops Review, Board and other governance meetings.
Ensure budget control for Technology Director's office
Action and follow up on decisions / deliverables from meetings as mandated from time to time.
Track Group Strategy and Commercial performance targets and gather information for reviews.
Ensure compliance and good governance across Vodacom Group and Markets.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12
Minimum of 3 year National Diploma or Degree is essential
A business related Masters Degree will be an advantage
Minimum of 6-8 years relevant experience in CX environment.
Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a Corporate environment.
2 years Telecommunications Project management experience.
Managing / building relationships at Executive level.
Familiarity with diverse business functions.
Minimum of 2yrs Leadership/ Management experience (essential).

Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Detailed understanding of governance and decision making across the business.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand business requirements and data flows to support development of KPIs and reporting collateral.

Reporting experience in a large matrix organisation and knowledge of CX, Digital and financial measures & drivers. Must have the ability to collect and visualize information.
Good knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and tools.
Working knowledge of the fundamentals of financial analysis and budget process.
Thorough understanding of the ICT Market and in particular, Telecommunications products, services, technologies and business processes.
Strong leadership ability.
