Cape Town, Table View. Junior Warehouse Manager required for established, fast growing concern servicing the retail/FMCG industry with at least 2 years experience in warehouse operations to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate inventory records using our warehouse management system.
  • Monitor inventory levels, anticipate demand, and initiate procurement orders to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Regularly conduct physical counts and audits to reconcile system data with actual stock levels.
  • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a productive and cohesive workforce.
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance warehouse processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement best practices for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Enforce adherence to health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to fulfil orders accurately and promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and customers.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Problemsolving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Detailoriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
  • Matric certificate, additional education or certifications in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
