Requirements:

  • Minimum National diploma supported by industry specific/related
qualifications. i.e.

certified MCSE (Messaging) or Office 365 Certified:
Messaging Administrator Associate.

  • Applicants with higher tertiary qualifications (e.g. B degree) will be
given preference.

  • Minimum of four (4) years' relevant experience in managing large
electronic messaging systems.

Key Performance Areas

  • Professional knowledge within the Messaging and Collaboration
area of the IS &T Department dealing with a variety of professional

issues system research investigations systems evaluations also

contributing to recommendations on appropriate systems.

  • Communicate with fellow professionals as well as internal and
external stakeholders.

  • Manage the systems changes to ensure least business impact
coordinate the changes to ensure that critical changes occur

outside of business hours.

  • Coordinate the streamlining and optimisation of all systems
processes.

  • Coordinate electronic messaging technology and system
maintained to ensure systems perform optimally and secured against

cyberattacks.

  • Compile correspondence of a more complex and involved nature
to facilitate the functioning of the IS & T messaging and collaboration

branch.

  • Coordination of cybersecurity compromises, system attacks and
information theft as applicable to the City of Cape Town.

  • Regular reporting on system performance and throughout
