Our client is looking for a Maintenance Co-Ordinator to Plan, control, track and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team thereby ensuring effective maintenance of the bakery.

Assist the Assistant Plant Engineer in leading the Maintenance Team and ensuring the effective functioning of the maintenance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creation of maintenance schedules and work orders within the maintenance management system
  • Provide reports and KPI's on the performance of the maintenance team by using the management program
  • Create and manage daily downtime repots with the use of the CMMS system
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Costeffective management of storeroom stock levels
  • Ensure availability of critical spare parts
  • Create procedural manuals that explain how to do certain tasks
  • Estimate costs of labour and parts for servicing of industrial equipment
  • Adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work
  • Serve as liaison between maintenance and operations
  • Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors
  • Prepare preventive maintenance plans that are aligned with the organization's maintenance goals 12 week cycle
  • Manage SAP PM, ordering and PO's
  • Any reasonable tasks required by the Chief Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Engineering technical Diploma/N-Diploma
  • Preferably Mechanical.
  • Technical background with spares, stores and purchasing
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • 5+ years' CMMS Super user experience. e.g., SAP/Maximo/Pragma.
  • 3+ years' Experience in Purchasing
