Description


The work of the EE & Transformation Coordinator role is primarily Service / Support work to advise the Company on BBBEE and Transformation and implement the strategy in compliance with relevant legislation.

The incumbent will be responsible for the execution and delivery of Minopex's Transformation objectives and annual legislative reporting / verification.

Additionally, the incumbent will support Line Leaders to retain or improve BBBEE certification, co-create EE Plans and establish functional EE structures at their respective operations and monitor and track performance against scorecard targets.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development, alignment and implementation of the Company's Transformation and EE Plan.
  • Give input to the establishment of sound EE & Transformation related Policies and Procedures.
  • Continuously improve EE processes by undertaking regular reviews of administrative systems and procedures.
  • Manage the Company's BBBEE verification process.
  • Ensure accuracy of information by regularly conducting quality assurance checks and sample audits as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that all processes are documented in accordance with internal audit, risk and control standards.
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and sitebased delivery.
  • Give input to Enterprise and Supplier Development opportunities and provide guidance on ED & SD execution strategies.
  • Participate in the sourcing and selection of strategic BBBEE suppliers.
  • Provide guidance and play an active advisory role to business on Employment Equity, Diversity, ED & SD and preferential procurement.
  • Monitor and review monthly financial reporting on BBBEE.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of the EE function by using the appropriate systems and procedures that ensure compliance with Mining and Generic standards.
  • Site, vendor and service provider account management.
  • Manage all annual EE submissions and related administration for the portfolio.
  • Support the creation of consultation questionnaires or surveys.
  • Coordination of site meeting forums and structures with relevant evidence for reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate and prepare presentations for the areas of accountability to the BBBEE / Transformation Committee.
  • Cross functional collaboration with relevant teams to ensure compliance and that objectives are met.
  • Manage and update the BBBEE system.
  • Provide BBBEE training to employees and suppliers on the revised BBBEE Codes of Good Practice.
  • Preparation and facilitation of the annual BBBEE audit process.
  • Keeping abreast of BBBEE legislation and providing guidance, expertise and direction ensuring alignment to the business strategy.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology or a related discipline
  • Finance or Accounting qualification will be an advantage
  • BBBEE qualification will be an advantage

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • 10 years corporate HR working experience in a Generalist or Specialist role of which 5 years must be in an Employment Equity role
  • Experience with the Generic and Mining Charter codes will be advantageous
  • Thorough technical knowledge of employment equity legislation and associated Codes of Good Practice, including the LRA, BCEA, SDA and SDLA legislation
  • Compilation of business Employment Equity targets and reports
  • Strong systems, analytical and reporting capability
  • Project or program management experience
  • Strong computer literacy with good MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Proven team player with leadership skills including the ability to coach and influence others
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support senior decisionmakers from different parts of the business
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
