  • Management of a regulatory universe for the Group and track PPC's compliance to this,
  • Management of a repository of all policies and ensure that these are timeously updated in line with Group Policy register and Delegation of Authority by the relevant policy owner,
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and ensuring that the compliance framework within PPC is comprehensive and robust and implemented,
  • Identify areas of the business where there is a risk of noncompliance and develop/maintain policies to reduce that risk,
  • Plan communication and training programs to help employees understand their roles in compliance,
  • Ensure that Internal Audit carry out periodic
  • Provide professional and credible legal advice and effective legal support on topics as required (verbal and written opinions).
  • Ensure proper registration of PPC's deeds, property rights and business licenses across the Group

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Commercial Law, LLB or
  • Admitted Attorney

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality proactive notification and advice on current and emerging legal laws, regulations and legal risks relevant to the PPC Ltd, its subsidiaries and operations in South Africa.
  • Provide quality internal legal advice as well as provide
  • Monitor and report on compliance with the PPC Group regulatory universe (in collaboration with Internal Audit).
  • Supervising and handling issues related to compliance with laws and regulations, including making sure that the company is up to date with its licensing requirements.
  • Ensuring all corporate and business processes and procedures comply with the law and
  • Maintain and update the Group central repository policies (version control, ensuring relevance) in line with DoA.
  • Accurate and timely
  • Ad hoc legal opinions (verbal and written).
  • Implemented compliance risk management initiatives as set out in the compliance risk management plan ("CRMP") and develop CRMPs to address residual risks.
  • Monitor, analyse and communicate with the responsible persons at a group and business unit level of any new legislation as well as any changes.
  • Assist Group Functions to analyse legislation, regulations, standards and policies to develop compliance risk management plans.
  • Developed and implemented compliance risk monitoring plans and the monitoring thereof in line with compliance monitoring plan.
  • Prepare monthly reports on the status and results of compliance risk
  • Maintained and up to date noncompliance register (Compliance Breaches) by discussing non
- compliances with Group Functions and monitoring the implementation of management actions to address the non-compliances.

  • Propose action plans to address compliance related audit findings and ensure that Implementation take place within the set timeline.
