_ __OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA._**
_ __Purpose of the position:_**To facilitate the effective management of the timber, openings & joinery and flat sheet & boards (category 2) at a regional level.
_ __Applicants should have/be the following:_**- Matric - mandatory.
- National Certificate/Diploma/Degree in, Marketing Management or similar, required.
- 23 years buying experience in the timber hardware retail environment with joinery, doors cabinets, and openings mandatory.
- 35 years' experience instore retail management experience mandatory.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
_ Duties and Responsibilities_
- Maintain and improve loyalty of retailers in conjunction with regional teams.
- Manage organic growth for all retailers in the region.
- Drive group volumes by negotiating attractive deals with preferred suppliers.
- Manage supply chain and conduct regular meetings with regional and national suppliers.
- Manage supplier trade agreements in conjunction with central office.
- Manage all promotional deals and pricing of promotions in the region.
- Negotiate and achieve budgeted drop shipment and retail gross profits.
- Grow the category in line with regional and national sales growth.
- Offer leadership and advice to retailers in respect of category related issues.
- Address all retailer queries regarding supplier issues and communicate effectively with all affected parties.
_ Remuneration:
_
- R40 000 to R45 000 basic + car allowance + medical aid.
