Full Job Description
Prime African Security is looking for an Operations Manager in the Gauteng Region.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience as a security manager or similar;
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning;
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures;
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis;
  • Proficient communication in English (verbal and written);
  • Report writing, investigation and auditing skills;
  • Leadership, proactive, and strong client relationship skills;
  • Management of Security Service Level Agreements with clients to full compliance;
  • Computer Literate;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills;
  • A sound and proven understanding of security technology;
  • Committed and reliable;
  • Must be willing to work outside normal working hours;
  • A valid Code B driver's license.

Minimum qualification:

Grade 12/Matric

Psira Grade A

Tertiary qualification in Security Management would be an added advantage

COC (Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle for Business Purposes)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures;
  • Client Relations and Management;
  • Plan, direct and coordinate operations on allocated site(s)
  • Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses;
  • Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards;
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs;
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events;
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms;
  • Draft reports on incidents and breaches;
  • Investigate and resolve issues;
  • Create reports for management on security status;
  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology).
