Key performance areas:

  • Packhouse Communication:_
  • Get loads from the PH for the next day
  • Communicate packhouse eta's and vehicle details to Packhouse (PH) manager
  • Ensure all load numbers are communicated to PH Manager
  • Update and communicate ETA's of trucks at PH to PH Manager
  • Phone PH at 10:00 to double check any possible additional loads
  • Transporter management:_
  • Get daily commitment from transporters for Limpopo Area
  • Follow up on vehicles that have to load on the day to ensure no delays
  • Manage the price of adhocs to ensure season rate is under the Benchmark
  • Ensure minimum 'standover' loads by identifying late vehicles, and replacing with new vehicles
  • Assist transporters with any possible deviations at port
  • Operational:_
  • All loads to be captured on Datatim/TMS
  • All transporters to have load confirmation sent prior to vehicles leaving PH
  • Book vehicle offloading slot in harbor, and communicate to transporter
  • Ensure all vehicles that require harbor permits have valid permits
  • Assist other departments within Group with tracking information
  • Administration:_
  • Assist finance dept with POD data capturing when needed
  • Understand and follow claim process in place
  • Monitor other areas, and preemptive mistakes
  • Systems:_
  • Assist with development of PowerBI system for the company and resolve errors
  • Manage and assist with all new developments of the TMS system
  • Operational Management:_
  • Assist and guide other employees to ensure all areas run smoothly
  • Build a trustworthy relationship with all clients. All major operational issues to be communicated by you
  • Have weekly feedback with the Top 10 service providers, and create a mutually beneficial relationship
  • Weekly progress reports in citrus season, and take charge of weekly operation meeting
  • Manage credit limits and prof of transporter GIT
  • Ensure that other areas also stay under the benchmark
  • Keep the team motivated, lead by example and focus to understand each individual, in order to generate maximum performance
