Well-established short-term insurance company is seeking to appoint a Payroll Administrator/HR Assistant.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Payroll and Employee Self Service system
  • South African and Africa tax and employment legislation
  • SARS E-Filling requirements and processes
  • MS Excel (advanced) MS Outlook & MS Word
  • Bookkeeping qualification

KEY AREAS OF THE JOB

  • End to end payroll processing & administration on VIP Premier payroll system by fully administering the payroll function on the system which includes new engagements, terminations, staff movements and monthly payroll input.
  • Benefit & thirdparty payment processing and administration.
  • Systems administration and maintenance.
  • Recruitment and other administration.
  • Policies, Governance and Reporting.
  • Support in all areas of HR.
  • Fully administer the payroll function on the Payroll, ESS and HR system which includes new engagements, terminations, staff movements and monthly payroll input and payment.
  • Ensure compliance with required standards and deadlines as well as Company Policies and Procedures
  • Reconciliation and payments of all third parties including statutory payments like SARS, Medical Aid and Retirement Funds)
  • Diligent and accurate filing
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports
  • Respond to general queries
  • Assist with ad hoc projects
  • Update leave on the payroll system
  • Manage payroll and leave queries
  • Calculate first and final salaries
