About Us:

Tsebo Solutions Group is looking for a Group Bid Manager to lead our bid office.

This critical role drives bid management across all divisions, overseeing the entire bid management process from opportunity assessment to proposal submission.

Operating in a dynamic environment, you'll collaborate with diverse teams and adhere to tight deadlines. Based in Sandton at our Tsebo Office Park, this role demands more than charm and charisma.

We require a skilled bid writer, adept project manager, and expert in end-to-end bid management to deliver compelling and compliant bids.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To lead a high performing functional team and to recruit, develop and align the team, to the strategic direction of the company
  • To manage direct reports and Business Development Managers to ensure that they are guided, coached and mentored to effectively perform their deadlines and achieve divisional objectives
  • Assist and support Group divisions, in preparation of bids for operational improvements and changes for both external and internal distribution
  • Give input into strategic, operational and design that informs the direction and deliverables of bids in each divisional unit
  • Be responsible for complex problem solving and the implementation of an appropriate solution
  • To develop an operational strategy for Group bid office based on the Corporate Strategy and to ensure alignment and effective implementation
  • Investigate on various tools to streamline the bid office process
  • Usage of digital and AI tools to provide accuracy and quicken the bid
  • Ensure alignment with divisional CEO's and Sales Directors on strategic sales plan
  • Assist the Business Development Managers in compiling winning bid strategies
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and divisions

  • Project manage complex tender/proposal responses bringing together input from all stake holders and relevant parties
  • Tracking of tender / RFQ process and exact record keeping of strategic dates and information to be provided / presented
  • Create innovative and striking presentations/materials that will be prominent in a competitive environment, whilst adhering to the company's SOP's and standards
  • Effective management of subordinate personnel in terms of: Perfomance assessments, skills development, training and career planing
  • Support CSMO with bid reports, support sales and marketing activities
  • Managing adhoc process and tasks as assigned by the Group Exco team

Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 10 years in similar or related position essential
  • Project management experience essential
  • Sound and proven track record of meeting multi
- disciplinary deadlines

  • Selfmotivated with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Written proficiency in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial skills
  • Service driven, innovative, reliable and assertive
  • Strong customer focus and able to work under pressure on multiple projects

  • Excellent written and PowerPoint bid preparation skills
  • Solid ability and proven track record to work to and meet stringent and multiple deadlines under extreme pressure


Computer literacy
  • Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Graphics programs would be highly beneficial

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or diploma ( Communications/ Sales/ Marketing/ Journalism/ Linguistic
  • APMP Foundation certificate would be an added advantage
