Job Overview:

The Field Team manager will lead and manage a team of sales representatives across the nation, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and the effective implementation of sales strategies. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in team management, strategic planning, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 15+ sales representatives located nationwide.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities. Ensure the team meets their sales targets and that they provide the best customer service.

Foster a positive and motivating work environment to encourage high levels of engagement and productivity.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Able to analyse PowerBI and use as a tool in key decision making.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business growth.

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales and marketing initiatives.

Target Setting and Performance Management:

Set clear, measurable sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.

Regularly review sales performance data to ensure targets are met and identify areas for improvement.

Implement corrective actions and provide guidance to underperforming team members.

Call Cycle Management:

Oversee the planning and execution of sales call cycles to optimize customer engagement and maximize sales opportunities.

Ensure efficient use of sales resources and effective time management within the team.

Expense Management:

Approve and manage team expenses, ensuring adherence to company policies and budgetary constraints.

Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability while maintaining high levels of customer service.

Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and insights through PowerBI.

Utilize sales data to forecast future sales trends and make informed business decisions.

Qualifications:

Matric.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field advantageous but not required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales representative role, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.

Proven track record of managing and leading a field sales team.

Strong understanding of sales processes, call cycle management, and performance metrics.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable insights.

Proficiency in PBI and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to travel nationally as required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the consumer or FMCG retail space

Advanced knowledge of sales methodologies and techniques.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a remote team.

Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
