WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Role Purpose**:


The National Sales Manager delivers the annually agreed targets and wider business objectives by managing, planning, motivating, and delivering on the National Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Imaging goals and objectives.

Reports directly to the General Manager. Responsible for the country sales strategy on all product portfolios.

YOUR ROLE:

Key responsibilities include**:

  • Lead, manage and deliver the regional and local business strategy for Diagnostic Imaging
  • Manage the commercial Sales team to execute on targets.
  • Delivers product launch plans and strategic targets.
  • National marketing accountability
  • Manage national top accounts (public or private) and national tenders and contracts.
  • Participation in local, regional, and international congresses
  • Participate in gotomarket Plans, developments and executions.
  • Provide support to sales team to help adoption of Guerbet Products and Services solutions.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and define regional and local account plans and sales targets
  • Define strategic targeting plans.
  • Responsible for defining the market access strategy and aftersales implementation of the Guerbet Solutions portfolio.
  • Monitor national sales performance; guide and coach team accordingly to ensure delivery of regional and local account plans and sales targets.
  • Ensure sales tools are used effectively including CRM and business intelligence systems.
  • Ensure the sales structure is defined & effective to meet the business objectives.
  • Monitor progress against local objectives and targets.
  • Pricing proposals for all contract negotiation
  • Assessment of performance and developmental needs of the sales team
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for the DI and II portfolio.
  • Manage national top accounts (public or private)
  • Develop strategic plans for engaging with procurement, large national accounts, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Manage national contracts through collaboration with all departments.
  • Create and maintain networks with KOLs necessary for the success of the business.
Other

  • Provide forecasting input to the General Manager. By working closely with the Commercial Operations Manager and the sales team.
  • Support the General Manager in defining the commercial strategy to deliver sales targets.
  • Active participation in defining pricing strategy for tender submissions.

YOUR PROFILE:

Education
- (Preferable) Life Sciences-related degree (medical, scientific, pharmaceutical)
- (Additional) Business Administration degree is a strong plus

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of national or regional sales manager experience
  • Minimum of three years team management experience
  • Thorough understanding of public and private healthcare systems
  • Proven negotiation experience in a complex multistakeholder environment
  • Knowledge of Radiology IT systems and standards such as PACS and RIS.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate with external customers, global counterparts, and team members)
  • Excellent Knowledge of contrast media products in CT & MRI
  • Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices (Injectors and consumables)
  • Knowledge of the Radiology field and its stakeholders
  • OEM relationship is beneficial.
  • Wellversed with imaging modalities for CT, MR and Cath-Lab.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driving licence
  • Negotiation skills
  • CRM : Salesforce
Relationships with Others

Reports directly to the General Manager.
Works closely with the General Manager, Sales Team, Marketing, Medical team, Customer Service, Finance and Sales Operations Team.
This is a management role and will have the commercial team reporting to it.

Scope of Position

The role is field-based as well as office base and requires travel within South Africa and neighbouring countries.
