Our Company is looking for a young and dynamic Payroll Specialist to join our offices based in Umhlanga.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect,compile and enter payroll data using VIP Premier software
  • Review and verify source documents
  • Calculate and post payroll deductions
  • Process payroll by established deadlines
  • Issue statements of earnings and deductions
  • Reconcile employee deductions
  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
  • Update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, loan payments, salary increases
  • Process new employees, terminations, transfers and promotions
  • Process all leave on Payroll System and Orange Systems
  • Prepare and print payroll reports of earnings, hours worked, taxes, insurance, leave
  • Address employee's payrelated concerns and provide accurate payroll information
  • Complete requests for payrelated documents including statements and verifications
  • Develop, manage and maintain comprehensive payroll records
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

  • 24 years of experience in the field or in a related area is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excel intermediate preferred
  • Sage Pastel
  • Experience working with payroll of +400 employees

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
