Our organisation seeks to appoint an innovative Brand Manager to promote our company's retail brand coordinate activities aimed at increasing brand awareness and market share by enhancing customer/end user engagement and relationships.


Responsibilities:

Marketing strategy formation and implementation_

  • Develop Annual Marketing Strategies and Quarterly Marketing Plans for Board approval.
  • Coordinate the development of marketing branded product portfolio, labels and packaging formats.
  • Develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans for the brand across various channels to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Train the sales team through campaign implementation and ensure that tactical execution at field level is implemented according to strategic objectives.

Brand stewardship_

  • Conduct regular store audits to ensure maintenance of brand standards.
  • Ensure a cohesive brand message is developed and implemented across all marketing platforms.
  • Develop brand bible for all marketing activities.
  • Increase brand awareness and market share by enhancing customer/end user engagement and relationships.
  • Develop relations with key opinion leaders in the industry to further establish the organisation as a pioneer in the field.
  • Map the preferred customer journey, identifying all touchpoints where customers interact with the brand and content.

Customer and Business Relationship Management_

  • Promote the brand at trade shows and major industryrelated events
  • Assist with the design, building and breakdown of marketing stands
  • Design promotions and customer loyalty programs to drive end user retention based on data, while creating the correct incentive strategy to attract new customers Collaborate with the sales team to ensure infield strategy implementation.
  • Design promotions and campaigns to drive customer retention and enhance the company's image.

Branding; Digital and Social Media Marketing_

  • Website and Social media management and implementing a clear marketing strategy across the different channels.
  • Oversee branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding marketing material, that is, all design work, advertising, signage, promotions and activations.
  • Produce engaging content for online platforms and engage with customers on social media platforms

Research and Marketing Analytics_

  • Monitor and analyse market trends across various marketing platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and gotomarket strategies.
  • Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights for enhanced marketing strategy and communications.
  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends and best marketing practices to develop effective strategies.
  • Prepare formal proposals and recommendations on tactics based on the extracted insights

Budgeting and budgetary control management_

  • Develop an annual budget to align with the strategic plan and quarterly forecast in consultation with the National Sales Manager and Retail Business Manager for approval by the Board.
  • Manage promotional budget to achieve maximum return on investment.

Reporting_

  • Prepare and present monthly expenses report and report on monthly marketing overview report including promotions; media placements and feedback and the performance of marketing campaigns assessed against goals.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports on progress on the implementation and execution of the annual marketing plan.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary marketing related qualification
  • 25 Years experience as Brand or Marketing Manager
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Words, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, Sharepoint

  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budgetmanagement skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgement and discretion
