Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education.

  • A Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent recognised qualification in Social Sciences etc.

Desired Education.

  • Appropriate NQF Level 8 qualification in Social Sciences, etc.

Minimum experience.

  • 35 years Human Resource experience (involved in ER, especially in a unionised environment).

Desired experience.

  • 5 years' experience in the appropriate field involved in ER, especially in a unionised environment. Admission to a recognized professional body will serve as an added advantage. Experience in a corporate and/or technical operational environment will be desirable.

Primary Duties:

  • Effective implementation of Employee Relations strategy, policies and procedures.
  • Awareness creation/capacity building of Site Management and Staff.
  • Impact to the Site forum.
  • Ensure the maintenance of high Employee.
  • Relations standard on site.
  • Monitor Site Employee Relations climate and report on trends.
  • Facilitate conflict handling strategies Management.
  • ER related projects and interventions to enhance employee strategic objectives on Site.
  • Management of Site Employee Relations budget and Administration.

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of employee relations matters
  • Good understanding of legislation that impacts on employee relations
  • CCMA and bargaining and council proceedings
  • Knowledge of Labour Court proceedings will serve as an advantage

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Sound presentation and facilitations skills
  • Good communication skills (both spoken and written)
