Provides operational support to sales management.

It exists to lead the support of a wide array of sales and operational needs for the sales force, sales leadership around the country.

The role holder will be responsible for implementing the LNSA Sales strategy and implementation plans that will facilitate the LexisNexis SA value offering.

Key Performance Objectives for the Sales and Marketing Executive are

(i) Achievement of revenue targets.

(ii) Drive sales force productivity.

(iii) Extract best performance from

employees.

(iv) Plans and coordinates projects to

improve the operational efficiency and

effectiveness of the sales force.

(v) Drive and implement the marketing

strategy and go to market plans.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Skill and Functional Knowledge:

  • Plans and coordinates projects to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force and marketing team.
  • Develops processes and procedures to support the sales and marketing process and participates in the development of requirements for sales support systems.
  • Provides leadership to managers and/or senior professional staff and has accountability for the performance and results of multiple diverse teams.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principles within own discipline and knowledge of other disciplines.
Business Expertise

  • Implement the LNSA talent strategy by driving talent attraction, retention and development plans for the teams.
  • Support communication of sales and marketing plans through the organization and ensure adherence to sales force calendar.
  • Identify and address performance management elements, learning/training and support requirements
Leadership

  • Manage relationships with employees and other stakeholders in accordance with organizational goals and legislation.
  • Look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline using a diverse range of both internal and external sources to define and refine complex multidimensional problems.
  • Has accountability for end to end business results and exercises control and management of resource allocation, planning, and policy formulation.
  • Guides persuades and influences others internally and externally including senior executives, board members, vendors, regulators and clients.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Thorough knowledge of all facets of sales and marketing of company's products and offerings.
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field concepts, practices and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sales Management, etc. or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales management.
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field concepts, practices and procedures.
