JOB SUMMARY
The employee will ensure effective and accurate management of staff and stock on their shift.


Conduct daily scoring, deleting unused labels, identifying bins for put-away and verifying that correct quantities have been moved to correct bins.

To adhere to stock policies and procedures and ensure strict control of inventory with a goal to minimize stock losses and improve inventory accuracy and reporting on all stock related issues.

will be required to perform other reasonable tasks and assume other reasonable responsibilities in line with your position.

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Conduct daily safety meetings (Toolbox Talks) and Complete Manual Attendance Register at the start and end of shift.

2. Ensure all staff are equipped with the correct PPE at the beginning of the shift.

3. Ensure scanners are in working order and issued to forklift drivers as per 'scanner control form'. (All scanners must be logged out at the start of the shift and operators must log in again.

4. Ensure that the toolbox talk attendance and Manual Attendance Register is handed in to Safety and or HR department before the end of your shift.

5. Responsible for production handshake with Ardagh Shift Manager ensuring that number of pallets produced, and number of pallets received, tie up.

6. Responsible for completion of daily scoring of production, per shift. Ensuring the scores tie up to what was produced by physically checking production in PQA area.

7. Responsible for retrieving all pallet labels for pallets that have not been produced.

8. Deleting of all pallet labels that have not been used from SAP.

9. Monitor scanning by Production Forklift drivers and taking corrective measures where necessary.

10. Compile daily scanning reports (per shift).

11. Ensure that take-off forklift operators keep the area around the lines clear and adhere to safe stacking procedures.

12. Ensure that resorts & cullet are stacked in the correctly allocated areas and that critical resorts are stacked in the designated area.

13. Identify bins for production put-away.

14. Issue put-away slips for production to be moved from PQA after being released by QA and ensuring that the ware has been stacked correctly. You are to physically compare the score sheet to the number of pallets in PQA before issuing the put-away slip to ensure that all pallets are accounted for before commencing with put-aways.

15. Verify stock in Bins after put-away has been completed.

16. If bins have been filled up, verify stock, print out and attach a bay tag to the bin

17. Compile and distribute put-away report (per shift).

18. Clearing of Resorts on a daily basis after being released by QA. (Follow steps 11 to 13).

19. Bin verification report and put-away sheets to be handed to Production Receiving Manager at the end of each shift.

20. Ensure a proper handover is conducted with the next shift supervisor before clocking out from your shift.

21. Ensure all paperwork is maintained and filed accordingly.

22. Report any network related issues to 'HelpDesk' immediately.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Essential
  • Post Grade 12 qualification will be advantageous.
  • Experience in ARDAGH systems and SAP WMS (Warehouse Management System)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Supervisory or another warehouse position.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.

Salary:
R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
