Job purpose


The Organizational Effectiveness Manager, working with the HR Director and HR business partners, will be responsible for leading and executing the company's 0rganizational development strategy.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design and implement integrated talent management strategy and tools (e.g., talent development programmes including graduate programmes, learnerships and internships; HR Policies and procedures that align with an integrated talent management approach, succession planning, talent assessment and retention tools)
  • Design and implement organisational effectiveness strategies (e.g. on boarding programmes, mentorships, leadership coaching and mentoring; diversity & inclusion, change management initiatives)
  • Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
  • Planning, monitoring and evaluation to ensure that organisational training is relevant, effective and aligned to Business needs, EE plan and geared to maximise BBBEE scores (training spend on the right people at the right time)
  • Preparing relevant organisational reports for the EXCO and the board
  • Adherence to and managing statutory reporting process
  • WSP and ATR ensure Annual April submission
  • EE Reporting Ensure annual January submission
  • Relevant SETA compliance
  • Estate Agency Affairs Board compliance including
  • Ensure all employees comply with the EEAB and have the relevance annual licence for Property Practitioners
  • Ensure up to date payment of the EEAB licensing fees
  • Management of the EAAB education compliance process and record keeping
  • Consolidate training plans and decide on necessary training methodologies.
  • Help line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems
  • Supervising the work of trainers
  • Training and HR budget monitoring and evaluation considering the costs of planned programs and keeping within budgets
  • Advise HR and line on relevant change management initiatives


Organisational performance
  • Monitor and evaluate organisational performance through the various systems e.g. aspirations, VIP and advise on relevant interventions
  • Ensure all HR policies are up to date and relevant
  • Effectively manage the OD Team and the training centre
Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary Commercial or Behavioural Science qualification (e.g. BA/BCom HR or Organisational Effectiveness Training).

Working conditions

  • This position is office based and works on a normal 40 hours a week. Busy periods may require extra hours to ensure deadlines are met.
Role Location

  • Growthpoint Head Office in Sandton, Johannesburg. The company will accommodate some flexibility in this regard.
