Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple properties within the Cape Town cluster, ensuring excellence in guest services, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives, including revenue growth, cost control, and guest satisfaction targets.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional service and hospitality among staff members, promoting a positive work environment and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads and senior management to develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards that uphold the brand's values and enhance the guest experience.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, analyzing trends and making data-driven decisions to optimize performance and drive profitability.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development initiatives for staff members, ensuring that teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver outstanding service.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, suppliers, and local authorities, to enhance the reputation and profile of the properties within the cluster.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, leveraging insights to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the lifestyle hotel segment.
  • Uphold standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all areas of operation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in hotel management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple properties.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, with a focus on lifestyle hotels and current market trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as required.
