What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

  • Bachelor's degree in education /PGCE
  • A recognized teaching qualification which includes professional teacher education.
  • At least 5 years' high school teaching experience in a classroom environment.
  • SACE registration.

Advantageous

  • Master's degree or other postgraduate qualification in relation to the job.
  • Specific experience in a blended learning classroom.

Experience (Minimum Experience Required - type and number of years) Minimum

  • Previous experience in leading and coaching teachers
  • Minimum of 3 years
  • Excellent personal teaching and learning practices.
  • Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Office Advantageous.
  • Multilingualism.

The responsibilities are:

  • Contribute to leadership of teaching and learning to ensure alignment to our goals of academic excellence.
  • Stay on top of the latest changes in teaching practices and classroom technology.
  • Demonstrate how to use these tools and methods effectively in the classroom.
  • Observe, mentor, and provide guidance to the SLT and identified teachers.
  • Embed a culture of growth and support in the teachers at our schools.
  • Create and deliver professional development for schools as required.
  • Provide instructional expertise to support implementation of intervention programs and strategies.

Instructional Coaching

  • Train and Coach schools SLTs in the Coaching cycle.
  • Coach teachers according to the Curro Digital Learning Coaching cycle / manual.
  • Demonstrate best practice.

Instructional Administration

  • Be aligned and committed to Curro Digi-Ed's vision of high expectations and excellence in education.
  • Utilise and implement the correct templates for all components of the coaching cycle.
  • Implement common good practice to one that is appropriate for the DigiEd Blended Learning model.
  • Utilise the monitoring system for recording of instructional coaching feedback, professional development and improvement based on this.

Reporting

  • Report to the Instructional Coaching Manager regarding professional development and instructional coaching.
  • Share instructional coaching and professional development results with the Instructional Coaching Manager and school leaders.
  • Liaise with SLT and Subject Specialists on best Instructional Techniques for Implementation.
  • Continuous improvement of instructional knowledge and vision within the Curro Digital Learning division.
