Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in an editorial position in children's television/content (educational, learning or and entertainment)
  • Bachelor's degree in the related field or equivalent qualification in journalism, television or related field or extensive experience in a television content production leadership position.
  • Extensive experience in producing a daily live and pre-recorded children's television show.
  • 10+ years of experience in content management,
  • Specialising in children and youth entertainment television/audio visual content
  • 10+ years of experience in a television lead production, content role
  • Exceptional research and content development skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Expert knowledge of the SA children's content landscape
  • Experience managing a team of creative content producers in an editorial capacity
  • Excellent knowledge of video production.
  • Deep and demonstrative understanding of early childhood development content development and production frameworks.
  • Deep and demonstrative understanding of tween content development and production frameworks.
  • Experience in managing creatives department
Qualities:
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must have native level fluency in multiple South African official languages
  • Must be conversant with television content production management software.
