  • Continually analyse and develop operating procedures that relates to IR, ER and HR A
  • Advise on all matters that involve conflict between employees
  • Manage grievances and grievance procedures timeously
  • Assist in the development of HR, IR and ER labour protocols, operating procedures and handbooks.
  • Monitor internal and external labour relations trends
  • Ensure continuous revision, internal training and updates are provided on various IR and ER and recent case law
  • Ensure that all staff members are aware of the IR and ER protocols and regulations, and that employees have access to the relevant handbooks when needed.
  • Handle all disciplinary issues
- handle all CCMA or Labour court referrals

  • Ensure the wellness program for staff is clearly documented and that staff are aware and regularly updated of the resources available to them
  • Work with the representative union and management in managing conflict between parties and employees
  • Assist with the negotiations of collective bargaining agreements with the representative union and management
  • Assist in the organization and induction of new staff on the code of conduct, HR and IR protocols and operating procedures during orientation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' prior experience in an industrial relations role.
  • Four years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
  • An understanding of and insight into the BCEA, LRA, OHS, EE, SDL and POPI acts
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance as it relates to Human resources and South African law
  • IR and CCMA experience
  • Experience working with unions
