What will you do?


The IT Governance Officer will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support for the Governance and Vendor Management functions within our client site.


What will make you successful in this role?
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the IT Governance Officer:

IT Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to the Groups IT Governance standards
  • Drive Groups Governance policy adoption
  • Facilitate governance standards selfassessments, gap analysis and implementation plans
  • Communicate the governance activities, policies, and decisions with the IT Leadership, keeping them informed and updated
  • Assist with reporting for Group Governance Forums
  • Work with the Chief Information Officer, IT Senior Managers and key IT stakeholders to facilitate IT audit execution together with Internal Audit and External Audit

IT Supplier Management:

  • Financial management for all IT suppliers including reconciliation of invoices
  • Ensure adherence to the Groups Supplier Management standards
  • Assist service owners with supplier relationship management activities

Qualifications and experience

  • Information Technology, Risk Management, Internal or External Audit experience or relevant qualification/s
  • 23 years of relevant experience essential
  • Extensive experience in working in the CIO or IT related division will be advantageous
  • ITIL foundation certification would be advantageous
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial management principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of supplier management principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT Governance Framework to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are embedded within governance structures
